Hosting a professional event in an exceptional venue not only makes a lasting impression on guests, but also provides essential revenue for maintaining these sites. Shaped by history and nestled in unique settings – whether in the heart of the city or perched high in the peaks – these locations offer inspiring atmospheres that foster team bonding and creativity. Popular with both local clients and international visitors, these heritage venues are undeniably charming and further enhanced by premium services that guarantee an exclusive and personalised experience.

Some of Alsace’s most remarkable and sought-after venues:

In Mulhouse

Domaine du Kaegy is a former flour mill built in 1565. Since 2018, the site offers contemporary refinement in a natural setting. With multiple spaces to host up to 120 people, the venue has become a top choice in the Mulhouse area for all types of professional and private events. More than 400 events have been held here since its opening. The MICE portion has seen steady growth (+30% in 2024), both with local and international clients (30%).

The Automobile Museum, the most-visited museum in Haut-Rhin, and the Train Museum, Cité du Train, offer exceptional settings, impressive collections, as well as modern amenities for hosting events combining history and innovation. These are just two of the twelve museums that make up the largest cluster of technical museums in Europe! The Automobile Museum boasts the world’s finest car collection and hosts around 80 events annually thanks in part to its spectacular 4,500-seat autodrome. Inside, the Espace Chefs d’Oeuvres is a stunning space for 400 guests with a backdrop of luxurious cars including two Bugatti Royales and fabulous Rolls-Royces. The Espace Course offers a different ambiance, dazzling up to 300 guests surrounded by iconic vehicles from the early 20th century. Just nearby, the Cité du Train hosts over one hundred mainly B2B events each year, with prestigious clients like SNCF, Crédit Mutuel, and Leclerc. For an enhanced hosting experience, the venue offers a variety of activities, from an escape game to exclusive access to the control cabins of three iconic locomotives.

In Colmar

The prestigious Unterlinden Museum in the heart of Colmar features six spaces for distinctive professional events in a one-of-a-kind site in Alsace. The exclusive combination of settings makes for a pleasant balance of work and leisure activities. The spaces include the Pomarium courtyard, a charming and unconventional area blending stone and greenery for a truly original setting. The iconic Piscine room is a nearly 500-m² event space located in the former municipal baths. The cloister, built around 1280, and its garden offer a remarkable and unforgettable setting for outdoor events. The museum has held more than 60 events already this year including major functions like the recent Focus Tourisme for professionals from the Grand Est region or the 70th anniversary of the American pharmaceutical company Elanco.

Perched on the foothills of the Vosges Mountains overlooking Colmar and the Alsace Plain, the medieval Hohlandsburg Castle offers breathtaking views and an exceptional setting for professional events. Its large spaces are ideal for meetings, cocktail receptions, or exceptional dinners. Beyond the indoor spaces, the castle grounds allow for a variety of team-building activities, from sports such as climbing or archery to unique medieval games.

The Koifhus, the old customs house in Colmar’s historic city centre, is a landmark building with several event spaces covering over 700 m². The 175-m² Décapole room and the 268-m² Roesselmann room offer flexibility for events of all sizes.

In Strasbourg

The eye-catching Saint-Guillaume Church, built in 1301 in the Gothic style, stands out for its picturesque location along the water and its slightly off-centre steeple. Its uniqueness goes beyond architecture, extending to an eclectic and sometimes surprising mix of cultural and artistic programming. This historic building and its gardens offer an enchanting setting for events in the city centre for up to 350 people in a cocktail format. Lyrical barbecues, fashion shows, and artistic performances set against the backdrop of a recital: the possibilities are endless in Saint-Guillaume. Since last year, the venue has introduced a range of services specifically tailored for business events.

Another venue, another atmosphere. Facing the Palais du Rhin, a symbol of Neustadt, the Palais Universitaire, known as Palais U, proudly showcases its neo-Renaissance style surrounded by green spaces that invite quiet reflection. But the architecture of the façade is only the beginning; the true marvel lies inside with the golden ceilings of the Aula, the grand hall. The exceptional Aula Marc Bloch is a dream setting for anyone who enters, with a capacity of up to 600 people in a cocktail format.

A touch of countryside in the city, the Robertsau district is known for its agricultural past, its proximity to the European institutions, and the not-to-be-missed Parc de Pourtalès, the green heart of the Strasbourg Eurometropolis. This verdant jewel is home to a complementary treasure: the 18th-century Pourtalès Chateau, an unparalleled venue for prestigious events in Strasbourg. The site can host up to 300 people in a cocktail format, in a setting that is both majestic and intimate, inviting guests to imagine life in the castle. The event facilities include eleven rooms and three seminar spaces, as well as a charming hotel with 48 rooms.
